The Tassy Triangle

We'll meet you this morning at 8am at your Venice Hotel or from the airport. We recommend coming into Venice the day before day 1 so you're all set to go after your flight!

After a quick meet and greet, we'll make our way into the mountains. Prepare to be amazed by the granduer of the Dolomites! After we arrive in Corvara we'll have our first lunch and a trip briefing from our guides for the week. Then it's bike building time and time for a first ride close to Corvara.

What an introduction to the Dolomites as you have breakfast with the best views ever. After a final bike check we'll take a couple of gondola rides tp the Val di Fassa and to the cable car that will take us to the top of classic rides such as Tutti Frutti, Titans and Mescedoz. Prepare for BIG descents, massive views and every type of trail you can point a bike down.

Throughout the day, we'll stop for coffee, cake, beer (a beer at 10am is perfectly acceptable here!) at picture perfect mountain Inns. It's more than just the riding here - it's la Dolce Vita.

If there's a better view to enjoy breakfast anywhere in the world, we're yet to see it. With the Brenta Dolomites as a backdrop, we'll make out preparations after breakfast and make our way to the nearby village of Andalo. Here we'll take a gondola ride up to Passo di San Antonio where we'll commit to a short climb into the back country, and to the head of the legendary "Secret Trail". This epic 949 metre descent is a mix of tech, flow, rooty forest riding and rock gardens all the way down to Molveno Lake. It's a guide favourite!

We'll explore another couple of hidden gems in the area before heading back to Corvara late in the afternoon.

Today is free to take a rest or even ride some more! We'll be on hand to provide you with an array of riding options - either ones we've done already (which have become favourites!) or new trails that our team have up their sleeve.

If you're keen to take a day off riding, Corvara is a fantastic place to kick back and relax. Take a gondola up to a mountain top restaurant, hike a forest trail, or venture over to an entirely different valley to try it's unique cuisine.

It'd be rude not to bust out a lap of another Canazei classic this morning. So shortly after breakfast, we'll get an uplift to the top of the valley and descend from high alpine tundra, into the forest and back to town.

After this warm up, we'll take a gondola above to the other side of the valley to begin 2 days of back country riding and descending with absolutely KILLER views of Marmolada mountain it's immense glacier. It wouldn't be a proper riding trip without a little bit of lung work, so it's a traversing trail ride today, with rock gardens, narrow flow and a short pinch climb at the end to bring us to our home for the evening at 8250 feet - the Rifugio Viel Del Pan. This high mountain Inn is utterly epctacular, great views, amazing food and friendly local hosts who have owned the Inn for generations.

After breakfast on the deck viewing the giant marmolada glacier, we'll set off with a traverse along the remainder of the Viel Del Pan trail to the the Arabba-Marmolada Pass, where we'll drop down into the Arabba Valley. There are two options here - an intermediate flow trail, or techy and tight - you choose! A short gondola ride to the top of the Pordoi Pass then brings us to the super fun Infinity Trail (2300 feet descent) all the way to Canazei.

This afternoon you're free to kick back and relax, explore Canazei or ride some more!

This is the big one! The defining feature of this area of the Dolomites is the Sella Massif - an enormous plateau mountain group with four connecting bvalleys surrounding it. Today we'll ride all the way around it - all 32 miles of it, with a bit of help on the climbs from the fantastic lift system, connecting the four Ladin valleys: Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Val di Fassa and Arabba.

It's THE ultimate mix of flow, forest, rock tech, bike park, rooty goodness and loam all thrown into one epic day of riding. Not to mention stopping along the way to sample the various treats at mountain Inns along the way.

We'll return to Corvara for our final evening in the Dolomites.

This morning we'll depart our hotel in Canazei, take a final look at the incredible mountains we've explored the last week, and return to Venice for flights home.

It's our mission to create lifelong friends, memories and stoke through the shared experience and joy of riding in our favourite parts of the world and we hope you'll have enjoyed the epic descending, climbing, views, people and goodtime here in the Italian Dolomites.

The Dolomites is a stunning place, and Corvara is a great place to base yourself for adventures if you're not riding. Our guides will advise you with options for great hikes and activities for the duration of the trip, so you'll be able to experience the Dolomites to the fullest.

You're generally comfortable riding all types of terrain in the singletrack realm. Technical features are common here, along with rock gardens and some steeper sections.

There is some climbing on this trip, so make sure you're comfortable with a couple of 500 metre climbs thrown in the mix.

Due to the varied terrain and mix of tech, flow and occassional climb, 150mm of travel front and back is best, with descending focused geometry while still allowing for a comfortable climb. Our pick - A Zerode Katipo!

No worries! We have bikes available if you don't want to bring a bike. They include...

2023 Santa Cruz Nomad, 27.5'' - $110 per riding day

2023 Santa Cruz Hightower. 29'' - $110 per riding day

A mix of single track - forest and ridgeline. Some sections of trail are rocky, with stones, and there's some bike park flow thrown in for good measure.

Some sections of trail in this area (in fact all areas of the Dolomites) are hundreds of years old - orginally put there as narrow, steep and traversing walking trails.

This trip starts and ends in Venice. We recommend coming in the night before Day 1 and stayin in Venice, so that you're ready for a 10am pick up, and the spectacular drive into the Dolomites.

For flights home, we recommend booking them no earlier than 4pm on the last day.

A good guide makes a trip great - a first class guide creates memories that last lifetime. You'll experience your trip with a leadership team who are local, experienced and know more than simple where to go and what to ride. We make sure our trip leaders are engaging, pro-active, passionate, can read the room and are simply a whole lot of fun to be around.

Your head guide for this trip is Stefano Ude. He built a couple of the trails on this trip, and is pretty famous in the Italian mountain bike scene for pioneering new trails in the Dolomites.

Thankfully for us, we reckon they've got the whole star rating thing a bit mixed up in the Dolomites. Technically, we stay in locally owned 3-star rated hotels, but they of a MUCH higher standard than that. Super comfortable, bike friendly, great communal areas to hang out in and tell lies about the lines you took, and awesome hosts who can tell you a few stories about the history of their establishment.

Rifugios - We spend one night high in the mountain in a Mountain Inn. These places, while a little less sofisticated than the hotels we stay in, are simply amazing - cosy, warm, cool dining/lounge areas and a deck with killer views to kick back and have a beverage.
